1. Introduction
We are learning to share successes and failures, and support each other, and to understand how to incorporate learning intentions into lessons and why this is important.
15:355 min
2. Starter activity
30 seconds each: one thing that made teaching hard this month, and one small thing that helped. Just listen; no solutions yet.
15:4025 min
3. Feedback
Feed back on the techniques you have attempted (and what you are doing less of) since the last meeting.
Refer to what you planned to do in your personal action plan at the last meeting; you will need ‘my personal action plan’.
Two minutes per teacher, with others actively listening.

4. Clarifying and sharing learning intentions
Handout 1.2.1 What makes a good learning intention?
Handout 1.2.2 Exploring learning intentions.
Handout 1.2.3 Some ways to find out what my students really learned.
Copies of 1.2.4 My learning log, 1.2.5 My reflections, 1.2.6 My triangle of learning and 1.2.7 Reflective learners.
16:2515 min
5. Personal action planning
Complete ‘my personal action plan’, choosing one or two techniques you are going to use during the next month and what you will do less of. Share your plan with your partner, then listen to your partner’s plan.
Arrange for your partner to observe you using one of these techniques in a class and give you feedback, and agree when the observation will take place (it can be for a whole lesson or just for 20 minutes at the start, middle or end of a lesson). Use the peer lesson observation sheet; the teacher and the observer keep a copy each.
Two or three teachers share with the group what their partner is planning.

Write your name and one thing you learned in this workshop on an exit card.
